CODA WILLIAMSBURG POOL DETAILS:

The CODA Williamsburg Pool, called CODA Beach Club*, is one of the best spots in New York to cool off in summer, and it’s almost guaranteed a good time. The adults only seasonal outdoor pool club is open every day, weather permitting, usually through the end of September.

CODA Beach Club is stylish, the food is great, and the staff go out of their way to make your poolside experience super.

Being the largest heated outdoor pool in NYC, you’ll see a lot of locals post up here when it gets too hot out. You can book a daybed or cabana for morning, afternoon, or all day 10am-6:30pm. Hotel guests get access to the beach club, but seating is not guaranteed.

The daybeds are thick and comfy, but there isn’t much shade apart from a few pool umbrellas. The cabanas are even partial shade, so bring your sunscreen.

While the pool is only for ages 21+, there is a kid’s swim hour in the morning.

Hours: 10am-6:30pm

Ambiance: depends on time of day; can range from chill to lively party

Day use: 21+; partial or full day pass for a fee ($85+) through the end of September: book day pass

Address: 160 N 12th Street Brooklyn, NY 11249

Stay at CODA:

Located steps form the Bedford Avenue station, CODA is perfectly situated in the center of Williamsburg, between McCarren Park and East River State Park.

This Brooklyn boutique hotel has 64 rooms featuring walk-in rain showers, bath products by APOTHIA, stylish peshtemal robes, and reliable wifi. There’s also restuarant/nightclub, gym (open 24/7), a rooftop bar offering craft cocktails and share plates, all with views of Brooklyn and Manhattan. There’s also a restaurant and nightclub in the works.

The resort fee includes free wifi, gym and pool access, and complimentary coffee, but those things should be free at a hotel of this price anyway.

The bad: While the pool is a popular destination the hotel seems to miss the mark. The quality of service for the hotel is wildly variable, according to reviews.

Plus, staying at the hotel does not guarantee you a daybed at the pool, only pool access. Daybeds and cabanas will have to be purchased separately, and they can be pricey.

The good: The hotel is stylish, the location really can’t be beat, and it’s a great place to meet up with friends.

If you’re in town for a couple of nights, don’t mind a party, and want to have a good time, CODA is a great option in Brooklyn.
