The Miami Beach Edition is a one of the most stylish luxury hotels in Miami Beach, located on the quieter, north end of the beach. Though it’s a large property, the design creates a tranquil escape for guests, especially when you’re staying in one of their bungalows with private plunge pools.

The Edition offers all the amenities necessary for an ideal and relaxing vacation. This includes 2 outdoor pools, a spa, a beach club, and restaurants curated by a Michelin-starred chef.

In the private pool rooms you’ll find:

  • Oceanfront sun terrace with your own private plunge pool
  • Chaise pool loungers

When you get tired of your private plunge pool, head to beach club, where you can be served cocktails in the sand at your own private beach area. Should I even mention the fitness center?

W South Beach

Located just barely out of the action of South Beach, the W is still walkable to restaurants and nightlife.

The beach club offers a relaxed atmosphere serving light fare bar bites, the spa is definitely worth checking out, and the fitness center provides complimentary classes as a healthy bonus. Additionally, there is a tennis court where you have the opportunity to take lessons.

W South Beach has four styles of suites with private pools, and here’s what you’ll find in some of them:

  • residence style 1 and 2 bedroom suites
  • terrace with plunge pool or ground level with outdoor swimming pool inground
  • lounge furniture on the terrace, including pool loungers
  • outdoor shower
  • modern furnishings and sweeping views

A stay at the W South Beach in a Penthouse Suite with a private pool would be a memorable trip to Miami.

Beyond the Top Picks – Hotels with Mixed Reviews

Above are your best options for private pools in Miami. My goal is to handpick the finest hotels and poolside experiences. However, there may be instances where you come across options that appear appealing on the screen but are not recommended here.

In the case of Miami, I have considered a few other hotels with private pool suites, but unfortunately, they didn’t meet my criteria.

If the above hotels are not in your budget, and you still want a hotel room with a private pool, these are your only other hotel options.

Bottom line: to get a private pool with these, you will be compromising your overall experience in Miami.

What to Look for in a Miami Private Pool Stay

It’s nice to have a private pool, but the poolside and overall trip experience needs to be great. Here are some of the key features to consider when looking for a private pool in Miami.

Location: Beach or City?

Location can make or break a trip, especially if there’s work or an important event to attend.

If you’re going for a city stay, are you headed to Kaseya Center or a conference? Perhaps Art Basel or a sports event.

If you’re headed to the beach, maybe you’ll be at Miami Beach Convention Center during the day. Or if restaurants and clubs are your main concern, see if they are walking distance to your hotel.

While Miami Beach is small, traffic can get out of control at night, so you might consider walking a bit. Plus, there’s a great boardwalk for riding bikes and walking.

Hotel vs Villa

Would you like to enjoy the full range of amenities that come with staying in a hotel, or would you prefer the independence of a luxury home?

As mentioned above, there aren’t that many Miami Beach hotels with private pools, so if you really want a private pool, check out a the vacation home rentals above.

Also, free wifi is usually included in a villa rental, because duh, but if you stay at a hotel, you’ll likely be charged a pesky resort fee. A small price, but annoying, nonetheless.

Poolside Furniture

I obsess about the details at pools, obviously. Why would you book a pool that isn’t comfortable to lounge at?

A great poolside furniture setup includes comfortable chaise loungers with side tables, dining table, and additional comfy lounge furniture for everyone to spread out.

Shade

Shade is very important poolside, even if your goal is to get sun. We all need a break sometimes. Never book a place that doesn’t have umbrellas or some kind of shade next to the pool. It won’t be a comfortables stay.

Poolside Views

Views at the pool aren’t always necessary, but they sure add to the ambiance. If you book one of the luxury hotels with pool suites, you’ll have sweeping views of the beach and ocean. Priceless.

Hot Tub / Jacuzzi Plunge

If you can’t find a plunge pool, would a hot tub or jacuzzi on the balcony suffice? amenity. There are a few additional hot tub suites in Miami.

Conclusion

Hopefully this guide has helped you understand all the best options for a great stay in Miami, whether you’re headed to the beach or the city.

If you are looking for a private pool hotel in Miami, go all out for one of the amazing suites at The Miami Beach EDITION.

If budget doesn’t allow or have a larger group but still want a private outdoor pool, a vacation rental is your best bet in Miami.

Enjoy your trip and I’ll see you poolside!
